Round 2 of The Ginetta Junior Championship race report. This weekend was a dream, racing at Silverstone, such an amazing experience… so blessed to be here
Race 1 didn’t start the way I wanted, being crunched into the wall on the start is less than ideal Managed to make some positions back and get back into a good spot when a car in front spun and which forced me off track costing a few more position. Fought hard to cross the line in 12th (8th rookie). Very happy with that considering
Race 2, it was absolutely chucking it down, the wettest conditions I have ever driven in. A rolling start took away my opportunity to make some positions on the start, but I didn’t loose any either. I’m very happy with how the race panned out. Had some great battles and managed to cross the line in 8th (5th rookie), one position ahead of where I started.
Race 3 the track had dried for the most part, but still some damp spots. Started on the wet side of the track and dropped to 10th. I pushed as hard as I could and stayed consistent throughout the whole race chipping away to come home in 7th place (5th rookie), again one position ahead of where I started.
A tough weekend, not the results I wanted, but had good performances, some great racing and learning heaps along the way.
